The School of Nursing at JCSM, is dedicated to providing the highest quality education to a diverse population of students through our BSN, MSN, PhD, DNP and graduate certificate programs.
Graduates from our college are prepared to be nurse leaders in research, education and practice.

THE BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN NURSING (BSN) PROGRAM CURRICULUM
BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN NURSING PROGRAM
Students must have completed the pre-nursing courses at an accredited institution or at James Cook School of Medicine in order to be considered for admission into the Four-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Program.
Subjects / courses that have successfully passed through the College Level Examination Program (CLEP) and DSST (formerly DANTES Subject Standardized Tests) will be accepted and awarded transfer credit.
The following pre-requisites courses must be satisfactorily completed before admission into the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program:

BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN NURSING PROGRAM - CURRICULUM
Once all the admission requirements including pre-requisite courses have been fulfilled, the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program consists of Trimester One through Trimester Nine. After completion of all Nine trimesters, the student is awarded the Degree Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

THE 4-YEAR BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN NURSING (BSN) COURSE
The 4-Year BSN course is a program for High School Graduates.
It helps teach them Core Nursing ethics and values, Nursing procedures, practice and help Students become competent and passionate Nurses.
THE 3-YEAR BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN NURSING (BSN) COURSE
The 3-Year BSN program is a program for College Graduates.
It helps teach them Core Nursing ethics and values, Nursing Procedures, Practice and help Students become competent and passionate Nurses.
This program is a combination of class work activity, Nursing practicums and Nursing Clinical Rotations at the Training Hospital.
THE 18-MONTH RN TO BSN COURSE
The 18-Month RN to BSN track is for the registered nurse with an associate's degree in nursing or diploma in nursing.
The RN to BSN track is offered at the James Cook School of Medicine via online and a face-to-face environment.
You will receive a Tier One University education from excellent faculty at a great value. Lab and/or clinical course requirements are in a face-to-face learning environment or at a hospital for practice and demonstration to meet course objectives and accreditation requirements.
Our innovative RN to BSN track will allow you to advance your career by completing a BSN degree.
The primary educational objective of the RN to BSN completion program is to increase the career and educational opportunities available to registered nurses in the university’s service region.
Graduates of the program will have a broader understanding of the nursing profession and will bring that understanding to the practice of nursing in their places of employment.
Graduates will be prepared to assume some leadership and management roles.
