JCSM'S UNDERGRADUATE & GRADUATE ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS
The James Cook School of Medicine admissions team wants to help prospective students find the right match and succeed both in college and in life. As a part of that process, we evaluate each individual student based on the below guidelines:
- Undergraduate Diploma with a minimum GPA of 3.0 for the 4-year M.D., D.M.D. & Pharm.D. Program
- Graduate Diploma with a minimum GPA of 3.0 for the 3-year Ph.D., DrPH program
- Undergraduate Diploma with a minimum GPA of 3.0 or an M.D./D.M.D./Pharm.D. degree with a pass for the 1-year MPH and MS Programs
- A High school Diploma with a minimum of Five credits for the 5-year M.D., 5- year D.M.D., 5-Year Pharm.D., BSN and BPH Programs
- Minimum 20 ACT or 1020 SAT
- MCAT score 525 Minimum
- DAT Score 22 Minimum
- PCAT Score 410 Minimum
- NLN-PAX score 117 Minimum
- GMAT Score 720 Minimum
- GRE Score 330 Minimum
- TOEFL Score 100 Minimum Mandatory for Students from Non English Speaking Countries ONLY
- Submit all test scores from ACT, MCAT, TOEFL etc. To admissions@jcsmmed.org

PAYMENT METHOD AND ADMISSION CONSIDERATION
The Admission Application Fee is to be paid via the Official University Payment Route(JCSMPAY) Simultaneously as Candidate is Applying.
To be considered for an Admission, it is compulsory that the applicant meets all Academic Requirements by providing all documents and appropriate Test Scores for the program of thier choice, as Admission into JCSM is strictly on Merit Basis only.

VOCATIONAL/SPECIALIST TRAINEE& CLINICAL FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM ADMISSION CRITERIA & INFORMATION
Admission Application Criteria & Information Please review the following information before applying for any of JCSM's Vocational/Specialist Trainee Programs (CST & D.M, / M.Chir. / D.ClinDent./ D.Clin.Pharm.):
Priority is given to graduates of WDOMS-recognized medical schools ONLY.
To be eligible for selection, applicants must apply via our Specialist Trainee Application Portal every December 1st - 31st.
ALL APPLICANTS MUST TAKE NOTE OF THE FOLLOWING BELOW;
All applicants are encouraged to have a minimum of three months Clinical experience at prospective countries of Specialist Training. This is NOT a requirement, but is highly recommended.
- Applicants must apply through the JCSM online application portal or pick up the JCSM Specialist Trainee Application form.
- Applicants must have three letters of recommendation.
- All applicants should be within four years of graduation from medical school at the time of Admission match.
- All applicants must have passed JCSM-PGMAT, PGDAT, PGPAT before the Admission match.
- Either of USMLE, PLAB, GAMSAT, MCCQE and NEET-PG is required (for Medical Graduates ONLY)
- Either of NBDE, ADC MCQ Test, NDSE Test is required (for Dental Graduates ONLY)
- Either of NAPLEX, KAPS, PEBC is required (for Pharmacy Graduates ONLY)
- International Medical, Dental, Pharmaceutical Graduates training outside of Cook Islands/New Zealand/Australia shall be responsible for their visas and Licenses to countries where they are to carryout the Specialist Training (CST, D.M. / M.Chir.) (CST DClinDent, DClinPharm.).
Selection for interview is based on all of the following; performance on JCSM-PGMAT, PGDAT, PGPAT other additional test scores, grades in preclinical and clinical courses, letters of recommendation, communication skills and personal qualities.

Our Specialist Trainee programs ( D.M., / M.Chir. / DClinDent / DClinPharm) & (CST) have 5 entry positions each every year.
CLINICAL FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM APPLICATION CRITERIA & INFORMATION
Thank you for your interest in our Clinical Fellowship Programs at James Cook School of Medicine.
- We will be accepting applications only through the JCSM online Application Portal / JCSM Clinical Fellowship Application Form.
- Interviews will be conducted virtually to select five (5) first year fellows based on academic accomplishment and proven clinical skills.
- Qualifications for admission to the Clinical Fellowship Program include the successful completion of a Specialist Trainee Program (CST, D.M./M.Chir.), (DClinDent) & (DClinPharm) in JCSM or any accredited Specialist Training program abroad.
- Graduates of foreign medical schools must ensure their medical school is listed in the World Directory of Medical school.
Applications for our Specialist Trainee Fellowship Program must include;
- Completed JCSM Online Application on the Portal/JCSM Clinical Fellowship Program Application form
- Personal statement including description of career plans
- A detailed resume
- Medical School Diploma and Transcripts
- Specialist Training Certificates and Transcripts ( if available)
- JCSM-PGMAT, PGDAT, PGPAT scores
- Either of USMLE, PLAB, GAMSAT, MCCQE or NEET-PG is required (For Medical Graduates ONLY)

- Certificate of Good Standing from Medical School's Dean
- Medical Student Performance Evaluation (MSPE)
- At least three (3) letters of recommendation
- including one letter from the Chief of your clinical services or your thesis advisor
- A letter from your former research mentor is requested if you have prior research experience
APPLY FOR JCSM PGMAT, PGDAT, PGPAT
James Cook School of Medicine Postgraduate Medical, Dental & Pharmacy Admission Test (JCSM-PGMAT, PGDAT, PGPAT) is a two Step Mandatory test taken online by applicants, organized by the JCSM School awwof Postgraduate Studies.
This test is has an overall score of 400 per step, and it evaluates applicants readiness to enter Specialist Training (CST, D.M./MC.hir.), (D.Clin.Dent.) & (D.Clin.Pharm.) and Clinical Fellowship Training.
This test can be taken During the Final year of Applicant's Medical School or within four years after Medical School. And After Specialist Training (CST, D.M., / M.Ch.) (DClinDent) & (DClinPharm) for Clinical Fellowship Programs
